The Clarke & Lewis CL-300, item number UTB CL-300, is a rotary hydraulic mandrel bender for common tube and pipe sizes. It bends tube up to 3″ OD (3″ x .120″ mild steel, 3″ x .210″ non-ferrous, 3″ x .065″ stainless), 2″ Sch 80 pipe and 1-7/8″ mild steel round bar, up to 180° plus 15° overbend, and repeats within ±1/4°.
How it works. A 10 hp hydraulic drive turns the bend arm at up to 5-1/2 rpm, adjustable to suit the material. Hydraulic power does the bending, so heavy-wall tube and pipe take far less operator effort than on a manual bender. Standard maximum centerline radius is 12″, with 10 ft of tube length over the mandrel.
Where it fits. The CL-300 has the same capacity as the CL-300 CNC, without the CNC, for shops whose jobs change often or run in smaller batches. It’s great for:
