This 1998 Pines #4 hydraulic tube bender (S/N 114-35-98074) has been through a thorough mechanical rebuild and fitted with a new Sierra digital control. It’s a dependable mandrel bending machine for a buyer who wants proven Pines construction without starting from a worn-out machine.
The machine is set up for left-hand (counterclockwise) bending. It comes equipped with:
- a stand pressure die holder with masterbar
- a hydraulic mandrel extractor
- a wiper die holder assembly
- an overhead tie bar
- a tube stop assembly
Rebuild work completed
- Slides and wear surfaces: Pressure die slide skim-cut. New steel and phenolic slide wear strips, new slide back-up blocks (2″, 3″, 4″ and 5″), and four new brass clamp bar guides.
- Linkage and pins: Bushings replaced in all eight toggle links. New slide, rod end and upper rear pins.
- Adjustments: Bend cushion and chain tension adjusted. New counterweight cable and clamps, and a new tool post.
- Lubrication: Slide lubricator converted from Bijur to Lube USA, with new fittings and lines.
- Hydraulics: New suction filter in the tank and one valve replaced.
- Control: New Sierra digital control in a Hoffman-style stand, with a 2-year board warranty. Includes a new quick disconnect, wire harness, terminal strip, encoder, pulleys, belt and mounting brackets, plus a spare keypad overlay.
- General: The machine was cleaned throughout.
