Clarke & Lewis UTB CL-150M Manual Ratchet Tube Bender

The Clarke & Lewis CL-150M, item number UTB CL-150M, is a manually operated rotary draw tube bender for accurate multi-bend parts. It bends 1/4″ to 1-1/2″ OD non-ferrous tube on an 8″ centerline radius, in either right-hand (clockwise) or left-hand (counterclockwise) rotation.

How it works. The tube is clamped by hand to a rotating bend die and drawn around it. A pressure die rides on its bolster, sliding with the tube and holding it tangent to the bend die. A 4:1 geared ratchet multiplies the operator’s effort, so larger tube bends without a hydraulic drive. For thin-wall tube, a mandrel and wiper die support the inside and the throat of the bend, and a hydraulic hand-pump extractor pulls the mandrel after each bend.

Built for multi-bend parts. The bender mounts on a steel table and cabinet with a wiper die bracket and a plane-of-bend carriage with an angle indicator. Bends can be placed in different planes accurately, without a powered machine.
