Full Rebuild, Zero Shortcuts
A customer running a Pines #3 in heavy daily production called us in after years of wear started showing up in bend accuracy — worn slides, a tired split-die actuator, and an aging controller that couldn’t keep up with their part mix. Rather than replace the machine outright, they sent it to us for a full ground-up rebuild.
This rebuild covered the entire machine: a new Current Tech CAB digital control, complete swing arm and stationary arm reconstruction, a rebuilt split-die actuator, all-new hydraulic cylinders and valving, and a full electrical overhaul — right down to new safety switches and wireway. The machine was cleaned, sanded, and repainted, cycled, and tested before it shipped back.
Swing Arm & Stationary Arm Rebuilt
Swing Arm:
- Removed & inspected
Repair bend die keyway and pin holes (if necessary)
Replace spindle (if necessary)
Skim cut bend die mounting surface (if necessary)
Remove & replace cup & cone spindle bearings
Replace spanner nuts — (1) standard & (1) Taperline locking style
New spindle key, bend die key, fasteners
New steel slide w/ phenolic wear strips, slide wipers, brass slide guards on clamp bars
New phenolic top wear strips, bronze gib
New clamp bars & fasteners, clamp cylinder, rod end
New pins — upper rear, rod end, slide & clevis
New toggle links
Stationary Arm:
- Inspected (arm is welded to the bender)
Repair pin holes (if necessary)
Replace fasteners
New steel slide w/ phenolic wear strips, slide wipers, brass slide guards, phenolic top wear strips, bronze gib
New clamp bars & fasteners, clamp cylinder, rod end
New pins — upper rear, rod end, slide & clevis

R&R toggle link bushings and toggle pins

Vickers bend, clamp & pressure die clamp valves (PA5 connector) with flow control
Vickers split die sequence & PO check valve (PA5 connection)

Suction strainer, oil sight glass & pressure gauges replaced
New steel lines, new Parker hydraulic hoses & fittings
New gaskets on side oil tank covers
