The Alpine LS220-5E tube laser is the larger-capacity 5-axis fiber laser tube cutting machine in the line, for 3D bevel cutting of tube from 18 to 220 mm (0.71″ to 8.66″) OD. A tilting Precitec laser head rotates ±45° on the A-axis for bevels and angled profiles.
Three chucks (Y1, Y2, Y3) center and align the tube automatically, using four pneumatic cylinders on dual air sources. They handle round, square, rectangular, elliptical, obround, and asymmetrical profiles. The Y2 chuck travels up to the laser head, so parts can be cut with zero end waste.
The bundle loader detects tube diameter, length, and weld seam position before loading. On the unload side, two servo-driven supports hold the tube steady through the cut and move finished parts to set locations. Positioning repeatability is ±0.03 mm (±0.0012″).
